ULTIMATE VANITY DESIGN IDEAS

Having the right vanity for your daily routine is so important, since it’s one of the first things you use in the morning, and the last thing before bed at night. In a recent survey of homeowners, more than half of respondents say that having a comfortable bathroom is “key” to their overall happiness. In addition, 51% say renovating their bathroom has tangibly improved their happiness and enjoyment of their home. The vanity is a key component to any bathroom, so you definitely want it to be a piece that you find aesthetically pleasing, that functions effortlessly, and compliments your own personal style. Before you embark on your next bathroom remodel, consider some of our favorite vanity designs below.

VANITIES WITH A BUILT-IN MAKE-UP COUNTER

If you and your significant other find yourselves vying for counter space every morning, a vanity with a built in make-up area can help keep the peace. It will also save space in your bedroom or closet by eliminating the need for a freestanding vanity table.

The serene colors of this custom sit-down vanity we designed for a his / her master bathroom makes for a relaxing shared bathroom experience.

DOUBLE-SINK VANITIES

Nothing is worse than knocking elbows when trying to brush your teeth, shave, etc. when there is only one sink and mirror. Double sink vanities solve all that, because as the cliche goes, two is better than one!

This custom Jack-N-Jill vanity we designed for boy / girl siblings prevents arguments at bedtime and during the getting-ready-for-school rush.

FLOATING VANITIES

A floating vanity does not extend all the way to the floor as standard vanities do, and the “floating” aspect creates the illusion of added space. Smaller bathrooms appear less cramped, and larger bathrooms look sleek and modern with a floating vanity. They have become increasingly popular in recent years because of their clean, minimalist look.

We designed this custom floating vanity with deep drawers cut around the sinks on the interior for extra storage, and cabinet pulls that double as towel bars.

VANITIES WITH INTEGRATED SINKS

Integral sinks are made out of the same material as the counter-top, for a smooth, seamless appearance. The continuous surface is also significantly easier to clean than a standard drop-in sink.

This integrated sink vanity we designed for a guest bathroom was created with custom-colored concrete.

STATEMENT VANITIES

We don’t often think of a utilitarian piece of furniture like a vanity as a “statement piece,” but in a powder room, where style is just as important as function, the vanity is an integral part of the design. Whether it’s custom made or a lucky find, statement vanities create that “wow factor” in your bathroom interior.

We added pendant lights at staggered heights to embrace the sloped ceiling of this powder room, which also accentuates the geometry of the statement vanity. Check out our shop for hand-selected items to give your bathroom vanity a refresh.
