TRANSFORM YOUR HOME INTO A COZY OASIS

Home: an enjoyable, happy place to live, laugh and grow. A place where you feel secure, loved and safe. A home is more than a house. It is more than a building. It is a feeling.

There’s no need to invest a lot of money, repaint the entire living room, or start breaking down walls. Interior design can be as simple as applying some of the following projects in order to make your space unique, comfortable, and cozy can be.

1. FRAME YOUR FAVORITE PHOTOS

Do you have an empty wall, or artwork that no longer feels relevant or meaningful? Framed mementos and photos are a great way to add personality to your space, and will bring you joy on a daily basis. They can be family portraits, a landscape shot of your favorite location, an inspiring quote, or a postcard you love.

2. CREATE A SACRED SPACE

Do you have a space in your home where you can really center yourself? A place where you can go to read, meditate, journal, or just feel at peace? It doesn’t have to be an entire room; all you need is a corner where you can add comfy pillows or a few objects that are meaningful to you. Having a “happy place” where you can relax and ground yourself is the key to one’s emotional well-being, especially when incorporated into your morning ritual as a way to begin the day centered and calm.

3. TREAT YOURSELF WITH NEW PLANTS

Plants and greenery have been proven to improve one’s happiness, and they are also a great decoration tool for adding color and volume to a space.

Don’t have a green thumb? That’s ok. There are plants that call for very little care. Plants like the Ponytail Palm, Snake Plant (also know as Mother In Law’s tongue) and the Chinese Evergreen all require minimal care. If still uncertain, go for faux! Any type of greenery, be it real or faux, will add color and warmth to your environment.

4. SNUGGLE UP IN NEW BEDDING AND THROWS

Freshen up your space with a couple of new pillows and blankets. Or really indulge with a new set of bedding. Nothing imparts a sense of peace and well-being more than a good set of sheets, which also leads to a good night’s sleep. Throws and pillows are an inexpensive yet effective way to personalize a space, and can be rotated throughout the seasons to create a different vibe or mood.

All it takes are a few minor changes to turn your home into a comfortable and cozy cocoon. If you find you need some extra guidance, please schedule your phone, video, or in-person consultation HERE.
